The Russian traveler visited France , Italy , Sweden , Norway , Iceland , Hungary and Slovenia in a year and named their differences from her home country. She shared her opinion in her personal blog "Like Travel Travel" on the Zen platform.
“Watching how people live, I was convinced once again: in Russia it will never be the same as in Europe,” is how she described the trip.
In particular, after talking to Russians living abroad, the author of the publication concluded that there is much more freedom in Russia. She explained that in Europe you cannot make noise after 10:00 PM, mow the lawn outside of schedule, throw garbage in the wrong bin, fish without permission, and so on.
"In Russia, everything is much simpler and there is much more freedom of action, I am now talking about what is permitted by law. Somehow, in general, there is less pressure from society and control from the state in everyday matters," the author concluded.
Another unpleasant feature of life in Europe, which the blogger drew attention to, is the strict schedule. "Shops close at 18:00-19:00, and on Sundays they are not open at all. Or, for example, in Italy, on the contrary, most restaurants only open after 19:00, and you can order food even later, since Italians dine very late by our standards," she was surprised.
In addition, the Russian noted that in her homeland it is quite easy for people to find work. "In order to earn 2,000 euros in hand in Europe without education and work experience, you still have to look. Average incomes are less than this amount, if you do not take into account the Scandinavian countries," the traveler emphasized.
She also admitted that she was struck by the rise in prices, the influx of immigrants and the shortage of jobs in European countries. "All this happened at the same time, Europeans had not encountered anything like this before," the author concluded.
Earlier, the same travel blogger revealed the attitude towards compatriots in all 12 countries that she managed to visit in a year. She noted the kindness and goodwill of people in Azerbaijan , Uzbekistan , Turkey , France and Iceland.
